Holistic Microneedling

Modern collagen induction therapy coupled with ancient Chinese medicinal wisdom.

  • Otherwise known as collagen induction therapy, microneedling uses a state of the art oscillating medical pen to create controlled microtraumas on the skin. These controlled injuries promote the proliferation of fibroblasts, producing collagen and elastin, which are key for skin rejuvenation.

    Benefits include:

    • Improved skin texture and tone

    • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles

    • Lessened acne scars

    • Increased hair growth (for scalp treatments)

    • Brightened complexion

    • Enhanced product absorption

  • All microneedling treatments at Two River Acupuncture include full body acupuncture. This is a perfect opportunity to treat the root cause of an aging appearance, and/or work on an additional complaint while enhancing the skin.

The treatment also includes LED light therapy & customized serums using Apple Stem Cells.

  • No, the medical grade oscillating pen used has one of the fastest RPMs on the market, so pain is minimal. Numbing cream is also applied prior to minimize any sensation.

Afterwards, it can feel as if you have a sunburn on your face, but cooling masks are always applied under LED light to bring the skin back down to neutral.

  • Downtime is minimal but crucial. Redness usually dissipates after 12-24 hours. During that 24 window after treatment, you want to avoid any exercise or sweating and the use of makeup. It is also important to stay out of the sun and apply a mineral sunscreen. After the 24 hours, it’s business as usual!

  • Like all acupuncture treatments, optimal results require repetition.

Microneedling is recommended once per month for 3-6 treatments to achieve peak results. In between these monthly sessions, nanoneedling can be done to resurface skin cells and enrich outcomes.

  • Yes, microneedling is safe if you already have injectable’s, as long as it has been at least two weeks since your injectable appointment.
